Thelen Creative is an award-winning audio & visual collective focusing on Music & History. George Thelen has served numerous audio / visual projects including as host of a 2x regional EMMY award-winning educational TV series, as Producer of a museum podcast series and one of the first museum only smartphone app’s, and as Producer / Music Supervisor of CreaTV Citizen Journalist Award-winning television documentary airing on the nations’ largest PBS affiliate.
Thelen can be seen or heard on productions appearing on outlets including The History Channel, Encyclopedia.com, PBS, FOX and ABC. His professional and volunteer work has been graciously acknowledged by many creative and historical groups. Thelen is a professional member and district advocate of the Record Academy (Grammy’s) San Francisco, California chapter, and of BMI, The Mechanical Licensing Collective, Association of Independent Music Publishers, SoundExchange and Friend of the Guild of Music Supervisors.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. -- Northern California’s audio/visual collective Thelen Creative have released an animated musical short titled, Shade On Me via the groups YouTube channel. The lofi animated short film features the R&B influenced song of the same name featuring Los Angeles based vocalist C. Joleene and is available on all streaming services NOW. The original comes after a string of cover releases in 2020 including a single co-produced by George Thelen of Thelen Creative and Jeff Saltzman (Killers, Blondie) which landed on the initial 2021 Grammy voting ballot. The project is animated by Dedisuseno of Java, Indonesia.
Featured vocalist C. Joleene makes her base in Southern California having graced the stage with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Justin Tranter, and Wilton Felder of the Jazz Crusaders. “Shade” is the first collaboration between the two artists. The track is mastered by Simon Gibson at Abbey Road Studios, London, England.
