“SHADE ON ME” FEAT. C. JOLEENE RELEASED FRIDAY, MAY 28 Summer 2021

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. -- Northern California’s Thelen Creative is releasing their first original single “Shade On Me” featuring Los Angeles based vocalist C. Joleene on Friday, May 28 2021. The lo-fi bedroom pop release comes after a string of cover song releases in 2020 including a single co-produced by a group including George Thelen of Thelen Creative and Jeff Saltzman (Killers, Blondie) landing on the initial 2021 Grammy voting ballot.

“Shade On Me” is written & produced by George Thelen, former drummer for San Francisco Bay Area soul group Baby & The Luvies. Featured vocalist C. Joleene makes her base in SoCal having graced the stage with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Justin Tranter, and Wilton Felder of the Jazz Crusaders. “Shade” is the first collab between the two artists.

“Shade On Me” will be available via all major streaming platforms Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 28th and/or by following Thelen Creative on Soundcloud. Thelen is a member of BMI and a district advocate as an active member of the Recording Academy.
