60 Years of The Dead 💀 THE LAST SHOW

Dead & Company Close Out Historic 60th Anniversary Celebration in Golden Gate Park

SUNDAY, AUG. 3, 2025 – SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. ---

🥀 From a pizza parlor in Menlo Park to a legendary sunset in Golden Gate Park, the Grateful Dead’s spirit lives on. Dead & Company’s final night of their 60th anniversary celebration wasn’t just a concert — it was a living memorial to decades of music, culture, and connection. 🌹🎶
 #DeadAndCompany #GratefulDeadLegacy #GoldenGatePark #LiveMusicHistory

Standing on the iconic Polo Fields in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on the final night of a historic anniversary celebration, fans gathered to honor a journey that began more than sixty years ago. What started with a small band’s debut in a Menlo Park pizza parlor evolved into a cultural movement that shaped the psychedelic rock era. That band — originally known as The Warlocks before becoming the Grateful Dead — first played this very spot when legendary promoter Bill Graham booked them for a benefit concert on behalf of the San Francisco Mime Troupe.

Fast-forward to today: through the enduring portal of music history, Dead & Company returned to the same sacred ground, presented by Another Planet Entertainment —led by former Bill Graham Fillmore associates. On this final night in Golden Gate Park, in the city forever tied to the Summer of Love and the psychedelic scene, Dead & Co. delivered nearly three hours of music spanning the Grateful Dead’s full catalog, from their debut album to their final recordings. They opened with a spirited cover of “Let the Good Times Roll” and closed with “Touch of Grey” — the Grateful Dead’s only Top 40 hit.

The emotional peak of the night came when the children of all the original Grateful Dead members took the stage to introduce the show. Phil Lesh’s son, Graham Lesh, joined the band for a few songs in the second set, a powerful reminder of the generational influence that continues to unite fans across decades.

As the warm, sunlit afternoon faded into a cool San Francisco evening, the night became more than just a concert — it was a living memorial to the band’s legacy, a celebration of community, and perhaps even a preview of what could come next. After all, in the world of the Dead, the music never stops.

Format: 2 x LP
Label: SING Inc.

Live At Great American Music Hall, San Francisco is the classic double live album that The Meters always deserved but have never had…until now.  Recorded in 1975 when the classic lineup of Art Neville, Leo Nocentelli, George Porter Jr., Joseph "Zigaboo" Modeliste and new arrival Cyril Neville was at the peak of its powers, the live set draws heavily on the band’s then-most recent album Rejuvenation and previews its successor, Fire On The Bayou – commonly regarded by fans and critics alike as The Meters’ two best albums.  Yet Live At Great American Music Hall, San Francisco digs in even deeper, extending the jams close to 20 minutes with the band absolutely burning across this nine-song set. Several selections from this show appeared on a mysterious, unauthorized and highly coveted 1981 bootleg LP titled The Meters At Rozy’s. Live At Great American Music Hall, San Francisco presents the full set, properly sequenced and mastered, for its first official release. Pressed on Mardi Gras colored vinyl.

Sly & The Family Stone were true pioneers on so many levels: black/white, male/female, rock/soul, the act shattered all preconceptions of what popular music could be and would go on to become one of the most groundbreaking and influential artists the world has ever witnessed.
The First Family: Live at Winchester Cathedral 1967 is an unprecedented live performance by the original Family Stone line-up, recorded just prior to their signing to Epic Records, and a full year before their chart breakthrough with “Dance To The Music.” This fascinating recording explicates Sly Stone’s genius on a tremendously exciting and atmospheric set of vintage soul covers, peppered with the arrangements, motifs and intoxicating energy that would soon become familiar during the group’s ascent.  Interest in Sly is high with the documentary directed by Questlove, but to experience the full impact of the Family Stone’s legendary abilities from the start, this historic document is required listening. 12" LP Deluxe RSD edition with gatefold sleeve and lavish 24-page booklet.
